Meredith Vieira Wants To Quit ” The Today Show”

Meredith Vieira, who is a well known face in the American television journalism, has been hosting this popular morning news and talk show “The Today Show”, since 2006. He was appointed in this show as the permanent replacement of Katie Curic, who joined “The Evening News” in CBS. Since then, Meredith Vieira has been hosting this show with the other co- host Matt Lauer. Some sources said that Katie Curic might come back to “The Today Show” as her contract with CBS will be getting over in May. Yet another inside source from the NBC itself revealed that Katie Curie would not like to resume her work in “The Today Show” as she would either prefer to work for Time Warner, or renew her contract with CBS. Meredith Vieira, whose contract is supposed to be renewed soon for an extension till the next September, may refuse to be seen in this show further, for some personal reasons.

Meredith Vieira, has been taking the charge of “The Today Show” ever since Katie Curie left it. The journalist has also been seen in several other sensible television programs like, “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire”, “CBS Morning News”, “60 Minutes”, “Turning Point”, “West 57th” and “The View”. She was appointed as the game show host of “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” twice, in 2005 and in 2009, for which, she won a Daytime Emmy Award as Outstanding Game Show Host.
