September 29, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): In latest tinsel town news, Russell Crowe and director Paul Haggis might soon be seen working together. The duo recently worked on the forthcoming drama The Next Three Days, and they might work for the film The Equalizer real soon.

Crowe would star as well as produce the film, which is based on the ’80s CBS drama, bearing the same name. So far no progress was made on this potential film; enter Haggis and things start to look positive. This Canadian-American screenwriter, producer and film director is the one who can put things right back in their appropriate places.

The Equalizer is the story of an ex- secret agent, who turns a vigilante and is hired to equalize wrongs. Haggis is also credited to have co-written both of Sony’s brand new Bond films seemed apt for this project, as he can create detailed sequences of action and also create strong characters in perfect equal proportions.

At present, Haggis hasn’t given his word to direct the film, but one shouldn’t be at all surprised, to see him on the director’s seat in the near future. Although the film, The Next Three Days hasn’t been released and the Haggis’s desire to work with Crowe gives a bird’s eye view of an exciting as well as creative tag-team on the celluloid screen.

This critically acclaimed filmmaker is known to make smooth transitions from one movie genre to the other, however no action movie has been directed by him so far. That should change real soon and it would be really awesome to see how the movie turns out.
