Darren Aronofsky might direct latest ‘Superman’ film

September 28, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Director Darren Aronofsky, the director of such in-your-face and hard-hitting indie movies like "The Wrestler" and "Requiem for a Dream," might be the one, who would work with the most favorite and recognized comic book super-hero, Superman. The next movie featuring the Man Of Steel might just be directed by Darren Aronofsky and it would be really interesting to see, his take on this legendary comicbook character.

"Dark Knight" director Christopher Nolan is the producer of this forth-coming Superman film. So, we have the Batman director producing a movie on Superman. Sounds interesting so far! He would be producing this flick for the legendary Hollywood studio Warner Bros. Nolan has had a talk with Aronfosky regarding the directing of the Superman movie.

Meanwhile, “Black Swan," the latest flick from Aronfosky had a triumphant debut at the famous Toronto Film Festival. The movie is a dramatic thriller that stars Natalie Portman and is set in the ballet world.

Darren Aronofsky would surely bring his indie touch to the Superman flick and that is where things would get interesting. The Superman fanatics are surely keeping their fingers crossed. An ‘indie’ Superman, is something that has never been heard of before.
