LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- Governor David Paterson, who has been an easy target on ‘Saturday Night Live’ for years has finally made an appearance on the show. The New York governor came on the show during the ‘Weekend Update’ segment and interrupted the host, Fred Armisen who was impersonating the governor himself. Fred Armisen was portraying the governor as a clueless blind man known for womanizing and drug use on SNL.

Governor David Paterson joked that being the governor is a lot like ‘Saturday Night Live’. He explained that both are funny for the first 10 minutes and then people just want it to end. He also criticized the show for parodying disabled people. He said that though the jokes on the show were funny, the ones on the handicapped, who cannot fight back are, are ’sophomoric and stupid.’ Though the news of the governor’s appearance on the show spread before the shows, many fans considered it a rumor. Fred Armisen is known for his skits on ‘SNL‘ as the governor and the mockery towards his blindness. In one skit, he is seen holding the chart showing the state’s job losses upside down.

In another sketch on ‘SNL‘ Delaware Senate hopeful Christine O’Donnell became the target of the comedians. In the segment, the actress playing Christine O’Donnell admitted that she once ran a dog fight operation and also burned a house down. At the end of the show, she was seen donning a witch hat and leaving on a broomstick. The indication is towards Christine O’Donnell’s statement that she tried out witchcraft in her younger days in high school.
