LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com) — Casey Affleck the director of the (Mock) documentary on Joaquin Phoenix has come out about with the truth on the actors bizarre appearance on the David Letterman’s show. Would you believe it? He says that the actor has faked his off screen drug troubled amateur Hip Hop persona for the movie , “I’m Still Here” which follows Phoenix in his fake downward spiral.

In a period of two years the Oscar nominated Joaquin announced his retirement from acting as well as his ambition to be a hip hop star. Casey is quite vocal with praise about Joaquin Phoenix’s dedication for the part. He exclaims

It’s a terrific performance, it’s the performance of his career

Talk about method acting. Unfortunately though the film opened to largely hostile and unfavorable review. Roger Ebert a top film critic says

(It is) a sad and painful documentary that serves little useful purpose other than to pound another nail into the coffin

Casey explained that his intention was never to fox anyone. The only reason he asked Phoenix to take part in the caper was that the never wanted the audience to come to the movie with some pre-conceived notion about the star.

After Letterman’s numerous attempts to get Phoenix talking in the fateful episode he famously quipped

Joaquin, I’m sorry you couldn’t be here tonight.

Well Joaquin has another shot to mend things as he will appear on the very same show very shortly. Meanwhile the viewers can catch the bizarre interview on the Internet and on scheduled reruns by CBS. It sure is going to be an uphill task for Phoenix to make up for all the misses he has stacked up in all these years. It won’t be easy to shake off his JP image from popular perception in just a day. Tell us what you think we are exasperated.
