Loss of a Fabulous Artist: Varnette Honeywood Died

LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com) — May be it is one of the greatest loss in the world of painting as Varenette Honeywood lost her life today. The humble and talented artist died at the age of only 59. She is reminisced for her superb and illustrious paintings on the walls, on the set of “The Cosby Show“.
According to her cousin Jennell Allen, Honeywood died on Sunday in a Los Angeles hospital. She was struggling with cancer since two years. An accomplished painter and teacher Honeywood was offered to work with Bill Cosby to decorate the set with his art-work. Her design and her style of painting got recognition world wide with the Cosby show.
Later on, the gracious artist’s paintings were contributed to many television series like “Little Bill“. All in all she was a mentor, a guide and an illustrious painter whose paintings brought life to the characters.
Varnette Honeywood was a graduate of historically black Spelman College with a master’s degree from USC. She is highly acclaimed for her use of light and color, patterns and textures. Though she has left us but she will always be a source of profound influence for us.
