Ajith Kumars Mankatha delayed

September 14, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): The stylish teaser of Ajith Kumar’s 50th film Mankatha has generated a whole lot of expectations. The film was supposed to go on floors by last week and is delayed due to uncompleted preproduction work. Meanwhile there are rumors in the air that filmmaker Venkat Prabhu will perform an important role in this film. Although, it remains unconfirmed, Venkat Prabhu’s new looks of trimmed hair has triggered such rumours.

Ajith Kumar’s Mankatha is produced by Dayanidhi Azhagiri of Cloud Nine Production and is directed by Venkat Prabhu. Since, its Ajith Kumar’s 50th film, Venkat Prabhu is keen on striking gold with this movie.

The film is reported to have 5 actors in lead role amongst which Nagarjuna and Manoj Manchu have already been confirmed with Venkat Prabhu’s younger brother-actor Premji Amaran donning an important role.

Yuvan Shankar Raja scores music with Sakthi Saravanan handling cinematography. This will be the costliest film in Ajith Kumar’s career and plans are to release the film by summer 2011.
