September 22, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Gowtham Menon is constantly hitting headlines for his continuous projects. The filmmaker has recently completed shooting for Nadunisi Naigal, a psychological thriller and will soon commence the second schedule for Hindi remake of his very own Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya. As known earlier, the film features Prateik Babbar and Trisha in lead roles.

Apart from his own directorial, the filmmaker is busy producing couple of films – Veppam and Azhagar Saamiyin Kuthirai.

Veppam is directed by newcomer Manju, once an associate of director Gowtham Menon while Susindran handles direction for Azhagar Saamiyin Kuthirai.

Gowtham Menon’s Thuppariyum Anand was supposed to feature Ajith Kumar in lead role. But the duo parted ways due to creative difference of opinions and Suriya is reported of replacing Ajith now.

The filmmaker’s closer associates have mentioned that he will start shooting for Thuppariyum Anand by March 2011, soon after the release of Hindi VTV. A.R. Rahman will be scoring music for this film and Manoj Paramahamsa handles cinematography with Anthony on editing.

According to the sources, the film is based on Tamil novel Thuppariyum Sambu that was written by Devan in the early 20th century. Set in backdrops of 1930s, the book centers on Devan, an ordinary clerk, who solves crime on fluke.
