Tina Fey had shoe trouble during Date Night

September 11, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Tina Fey the comic actress is well known for her work in popular shows like ’30 Rock’ and ‘Mean Girls’. Recently, the Emmy winner made her transition to the big screen with the movie ‘Date Night’, where she starred opposite funnyman Steve Carrell.

The movie required Tina to run around in high heels throughout the shooting. Since the movie is an action comedy, the actor had to perform some of her stunts while wearing heels. The writer-actress confessed that she did not feel comfortable running around in heels. The movie is about a couple played by Tina Fey and Steve Carrell, who are trying to enjoy a peaceful night out together when their plans go berserk.

Tina said, “I am not great in heels and I was very slow so we had different sizes and it was night time, so if I had to run really fast or climb I had a shorter one with a clear plastic strap on the front but I never fell down.”

Tina disclosed in the interview that she would rather be a writer than a film star, as she finds the job to be especially boring. Commenting on her odd choice, Tina said that she would like to be a writer because she has more control over the situation when she writes. The actor further added, “being an actor for hire is a very grim lifestyle.”
