Wyclef Jean puts down differences with Sean Penn

September 7, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Now that Wyclef Jeans are finally out of the presidential race for Haiti, people expected that he would finally bury the hatchet with the actor. Well, Wyclef did not think that way and he did not miss a chance to fire back at Sean Penn and former band mate Praswell.
During the Hot 97 concert, Wyclef purposefully changed the lyrics for the 2004 song named ‘president’. The new version of the song was aimed at both Sean Penn and Pras and this is how it goes.
“I got a message for Sean Penn: maybe he ain’t see me in Haiti because he was too busy sniffing cocaine. I got a message for Praswell, even though you don’t want to support me; I got love for you, even though you only kicked 8 bars in the Fugees”
Penn’s representative immediately responded to the alleged comments by saying that the physical demands on the volunteers in Haiti is so extreme that drug abuse can be fatal, hence the claim is ludicrous to say the least. The representative also said that as the leader of the humanitarian organization Penn has banned all illicit drugs and he sticks by the principle himself. It seems that Wyclef was not the perfect candidate to be the Presidential candidate for Haiti after all.
