Los Angeles (GaeaTimes.com) - The Oscars of Primetime TV, better known as Emmy awards, was announced last night on August 30, 2010. The venue was Nokia Theatre in LA. The show stealers were Temple Grandin, Gee and Mad Men.
The voters have showed their affection towards newer shows this time. Modern Family won the Big award for outstanding comedy series which is a newly aired show. The same show had a winner in Eric Stonestreet as well. There were some repetitions too in the awardees as the cast of Mad Men and Bryan Cranston both took the stage for the third time.
The night was no usual award night with lot of protocols. The night had the taste of humor with the George Clooney’s Modern Family video which generated loud laughter. Jimmy Falcon too had a funny musical number to perform.
The Night’s biggest winners include HBO’s Temple Grandin which won seven statues. It bagged the Best Actress Miniseries and Movie for Claire Danes. The Jimmy Falcon’s role as the host for the night was amusing too. He was hilarious and entertaining.
George Clooney stood fourth in the row to receive the Bob Hope Legacy nod for his humanitarian works. He was honored live at the show.
The winners are Bryan Cranston and actress trophy went to Kyra Sedgwick for The Closer. The Outstanding Reality competition was not American Idol as assumed by many. The prize went to “Top Chef”. “Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution” won the Outstanding Reality Program award. “Mad Men” was Best Series. The list is available on internet to check out online. Lots of celebrities both the winners and losers are tweeting their comments.
