ISLAMABAD - While the Pakistan government is struggling to collect funds for flood hit people, cricketer turned politician Imran Khan has been working extensively towards this end.
In his efforts to reach out to the needy ones, Imran would be leading nearly 300 trucks full of flood relief materials to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Imran’s convoy of flood relief, dubbed ‘the caravan of hope’, would begin its journey to flood affected areas of Peshawar, Malakand, Mardan, Dera Ismail Khan and other inundated areas from Islamabad on Monday (August 30).
Imran’s party, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI), has claimed that its chief has colleted over 20 crore rupees for flood affected people, The Nation reports.
PTI officials said Imran has prepared a massive program to help his fellow countrymen, as the administration has failed completely to provide relief. (ANI)
