August 26, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Yash Raj Films’ latest released movie Lafangey Parindey might not be doing well at the box office but the movie has been able to impress one of the leading Indian entertainment television channels ‘Colors’, which has acquired the television rights of the movie.

With this, a new bond has been formed between the production house and the channel, which is their first ever such deal.

Gaurav Gandhi, the Group CCO of Viacom 18 Group and the head of international business, said that this deal will provide a big boost to the increasing association between Bollywood and the TV industry.

In a press release, Gandhi said that the channel has been a trendsetter, which has always bridged the gap between the small and big screens. He said that they have gone a step ahead with this new association with Yash Raj Films. He added that both the channel and YRF share the same idea of identifying and motivating the real talent of India.

As per the agreement, Colors will also promote the movie Lafangey Parindey through their reality show ‘India’s Got Talent - Khoj 2’. Deepika Padukone and Neil Nitin Mukesh are playing the lead roles in the movie. Deepika plays a blind girl, who is expert in dancing on the skates and Neil is a boxer, who can fight blindfolded. Recently, both the actors came on the talent show of Colors to promote the film.
