August 26, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Angelina Jolie is finally stepping behind the camera as a director. According to latest reports, Angelina Jolie will make her directorial debut this fall. The Oscar-winning actress is truly psyched about her latest project and she has already finalized the script for the film.
Graham King’s GK films announced on Wednesday that the crew will start shooting for the film by fall 2010. The movie is based on an original screen play that depicts a Bosnian Woman falling in love with a Serbian Military man. The movie is set during the Bosnian war, which was perhaps the most volatile period for the region.
As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, the film will have a budget of less than $15million and it will be produced by Angelina Jolie, Graham King and Tim Headington. As a UN Goodwill Ambassador, Jolie has visited the region several times in the past and has expressed her desire to cast locals for the movie.
According to Jolie the movie is a love story with the Bosnian war as the backdrop and politics has got nothing to do with it. Angelina also visited Bosnia last month to scout locations for the upcoming project. It has been confirmed that Jolie will strictly remain behind the camera for this film.
