Outside Lands Music Festival Begins Today

SAN FRANCISCO (GaeaTimes.com)- The famous Outside Lands Music Festival returns to San Francisco this weekend. The festival that will be held at Golden Gate Park is scheduled to rock San Francisco on 14th and 15th of the August. Like every year this year as well bands are lined up to rock the crowd at the Outside Lands Music Festival. The festival that enters its third year this season has already become one of the top crowd drawers in San Francisco. It is not only the music that attracts the crowd but also the art, food and wine stores that pull the crowd towards the festival.

As per the official website of the Outside Lands Music Festival, like every year this year as well there would be performances by both old and new schools of music. The well known groups that are lined up for performance in Outside Lands Music Festival are Al Green, Phoenix, The Strokes, Furthur, Kings of Leon, My Morning Jacket, Slightly Stoopid, the Cat Power, The Soft Pack, Social Distortion, Tokyo Police Club.

Apart from music, the Outside Lands Music Festival is also known for its eco-friendly nature. Reports claim that the stage set for music has solar panhandle lighting system. The festival organizers have arranged this year has a valet bike parking area for all those music lovers who prefer the eco-friendly mode of transportation. During the festival, the organizers will also carry out ocean beach clean-up drive. The organizers have also requested the visitors to bring a more environmental friendly water bottle like refillable aluminum bottles or other reusable containers. However, with instructions on place and stage set people of the state are all geared up for Outside Lands music festival.
