Four Actors Join Rudds Comedy My Idiot Brother

July 31, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Director Jesse Peretz’s latest comedy movie My Idiot Brother starring Paul Rudd has been joined by four other actors named Shirley Knight, Kathryn Hahn, Hugh Dancy, and Janet Montgomery.
The movie is about an idealist who bumps into the lives of his three sisters. The shooting for the film is now going on in New York. The title character is being played by Rudd, who runs into the homes of his three ambitious sisters, played by Zooey Deschanel, Elizabeth Banks, and Emily Mortimer.
Hugh Dancy will be seen as a pretentious painter friend of the character played by Deschanel. The role of Rudd’s ex-girlfriend will be played by Kathryn Hahn. Shirley Knight will be playing Rudd’s overbearing mother and Janet Montgomery will appear as a British aristocrat. The character of Banks will be seen profiling Janet for a magazine piece.
My Idiot Brother is written by Evgenia Peretz and David Schisgall, which is scheduled to hit the screens in 2012.
