LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- In a recent press conference actress, Sara Gilbert revealed that she is a lesbian and has been involved in a relationship with television producer Allison Adler. The former “Roseanne” star made the announcement at the Television Critics Association’s press conference on Wednesday, after years of speculation. However, the fact that Sara Gilbert is homosexual was an open secret as she is known to have been in a relationship with Allison Adler for the past eight years now and the couple has two children. However, this was the first instance when the actress was talking openly about her sexuality unlike previous occasions where she has declined to reveal details about her personal life.

During the press conference, one of the journalist asked Sara Gilbert whether she was comfortable with the fact that she was ‘out’ on her upcoming chat show on CBS “The Talk”. To this the 35-year-old actress replied by saying that this was a new world for her while also talking about her relationship with Allison Adler. At the same time, the “Roseanne” star also added that being open about her sexuality isn’t something that might create a problem for the forthcoming show which is all set to premiere this fall.

Despite the fact that Sara Gilbert is known to have been tight-lipped about her personal life in the past, the actress has said that in the upcoming CBS show, she would be discussing more about it. Allison Adler are together since the year 2002 and are known to have a five-year-old son Levi and two-year-old daughter Sawyer.
