“Chak Dhoom Dhoom” With Akshay Kumar!

MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- One of the most popular reality programs on television has come to an end. “Chak Dhoom Dhoom” the dancing reality series featuring little children matching their steps to traditional and contemporary dance numbers aired its finale episode on Saturday night. The program which was always one of the most highly viewed shows on Indian television for the past three months managed to grab even more eyeballs yesterday, and why not when somebody like Akshay Kumar is present on the sets.

Actors Akshay Kumar and Trisha Krishnan graced the “Chak Dhoom Dhoom” stage yesterday night as the celebrity guests of the final episode. Though the duo’s presence was part of their promotional tour for their latest film together, Akshay Kumar did not disappoint his fans and the children who were happiest when their favorite star matched steps with them on stage. Akshay Kumar appeared on “Chak Dhoom Dhoom” to promote his latest movie “Khatta Meetha”. This is his second venture on television after Star Plus’ “Sasural Genda Phool” for the promotion work of the Priyadarshan directed film.

Going by the reviews of Saturday night’s episode, the viewers were more excited about Akshay Kumar dancing on the “Chak Dhoom Dhoom” stage and cracking jokes with the contestants and judges, than watch the children perform to dance numbers! However one cannot disregard the superb performances that the finalists displayed yesterday ranging from discos to the tango, the kathak and lavni. If reports are to be believed, child star Saloni Daini, the co-host of the reality program, had a lot of fun while shooting with Akshay Kumar on a road roller for the promos of “Chak Dhoom Dhoom”. Sparsh Shrivastav was declared the winner of the dance reality show.
