MIAMI - Cuban singer Olga Guillot died Monday in Miami at age 87, the daily The Miami Herald reported in its online edition.

The so-called “Queen of Bolero,” with hits like Mienteme (Lie To Me), died of a heart attack at Miami’s Mount Sinai Medical Centre, the Herald said.

Born in Santiago de Cuba Oct 9, 1922, Guillot was a star in her native country before going into exile in the 1960s. She lived in Venezuela, Mexico and finally settled in Miami.

In the 2008 US presidential campaign, Guillot campaigned with Republican presidential hopeful John McCain during a rally in May of that year in Miami.
