LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM (GaeaTimes.com)- On Saturday as USA faced England at the FIFA soccer World Cup, there were many people who swore by their team to win the game. However, one lady wanted both the teams to win and appeared in public showing her love for soccer. Pop Singer Katy Perry appeared for an interview on James Corden’s World Cup Live talk show wearing a body hugging rubber dress that had in it prints of both the British flag and the American flag. The selection of her dress showed her divided loyalty to both USA and England.

Katy Perry who is engaged to a British comedian named Russell Brand confessed during her interview that she is divided in her loyalty due to her engagement. While she first screamed and jumped on her sofa when team USA scored a goal, she also had the same reaction when England went for one. She later on added that it is not only about football game but that she is in general divided between the two nations. Katy Perry candidly said that it’s hard to maintain it. The singer said being in England if she says that England should win then there would be people who would say that Katy Perry “hates her home place”.

It seems that with the USA Vs England game ending with a draw, it was Katy Perry who was the happiest of all. Katy Perry tweeted, “EVERYBODY WINS!!! I LIKE THAT!” Adding that “Plus as an American marrying an Englishman…I am DIVIDED.” However, if England is able to make it to the finals then perhaps one can get to see Katy Perry’s fiance cheering his team in South Africa, according to the singer.
