LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- “American Idol” Season 9, on Wednesday, Mar 31, said good bye to another of its contestant. Didi Benami whose voice was appreciated by Ellene DeGeneres on the contest, could not prove her worth in the show. She reached the bottom three along with Katie Stevens and Tim Urban on Wednesday. While for Katie Stevens it was just a short wait as she was called first to return to the group, Tim Urban again got lucky this time and smiled his way to join the other eight contestants. Didi Benami could not secure her position in the contest as even the viewers chose to vote for Tim Urban but not for her.

However, she could have remained in the “American Idol” contest if the judges would have used their save, but Simon Cowell voiced that the judges want to hold on to the save. Didi Benami’s Tuesday night’s performance was not liked by the judges who said that the former’s attempt of singing “What becomes of the brokenhearted” was “flat”. While Randy Jackson said that Didi Benami’s singing was flat, Kara DioGuardi mentioned that the contestant has lost her focus from the contest and declared that it was over and done for Didi Benami.

On Wednesday, it seemed that Kara DioGuardi’s statement has come true when even the public vote could not save the contestant in “American Idol”. However, Didi Benami bowed out of the show gracefully and on Wednesday, she sang Fleetwood Mac’s “Rhiannon” which according to many, was her best performance in the show. Even the judges appreciated her attempt. Didi Benami was joined on stage by other contestants for a tearful farewell hug.
