Valentine Week: Valentine’s Day Movie Review

LOS ANGELES, (GaeaTimes.com)- With Valentine’s Day just round the corner, this was probably the perfect timing for the release of much acclaimed director Garry Marshall’s latest movie “Valentine’s Day“. The hype surrounding the romantic comedy has been skyrocketing for quite some time now, as it showcases as many as twenty bankable Hollywood stars in the movie which released across United States today.

As the name suggests, the movie “Valentine’s Day” is based on the day of love and tells eight interconnected tales that are being unfolded simultaneously as the movie proceeds. The story tracks the lives of urban Los Angeles residents and showcases the pressures and he expectations that are usually associated with the day of love. The movie highlights the experiences of couples as well as singles on the course of a single Valentine’s Day. The 123 minutes movie, surely manages to fulfill the expectations of the viewers as it has also all the elements that are normally expected from a romantic comedy.

Although the multiple plots running together at times lacks a bit of coherence, but the huge ensemble of stars such as Julia Roberts, Jamie Foxx, Ashton Kutcher, Anne Hathaway, Taylor Lautner, among others turns out to be one of the highlights of the much anticipated flick. At the same time, the movie is also generating much attention as it features singer Taylor Swift in her feature film debut.

Although many critics feel that “Valentine’s Day” does not have any anything new to offer and turns out to be just another flick in the romantic comedy genre, it is presumed that this being the Valentine week, many lovebirds would surely flock to theaters to catch the movie.
