Former SPICE GIRLS boss SIMON FULLER is set to follow SIMON COWELL off the AMERICAN IDOL stage - the creator of the hit TV talent show has quit.

Fuller plans to start his own entertainment production company and has stepped down as an executive at CKX Inc. - the company which owns his 19 Entertainment as well as a majority stake in Elvis Presley’s Graceland mansion.

The music mogul will also leave behind 19 Entertainment, the company he founded in 1985.

Fuller sold the firm to CKX in 2005 for $500 million (GBP313,000).

Meanwhile, Fuller is part of a new TV talent show - he’ll join blogger Perez Hilton in a search for a new boy band.
