Actress and reality TV star TORI SPELLING and her mother CANDY are close to ending their long-running public family feud, according to new reports.

Mother and daughter fell out shortly before TV mogul Aaron Spelling died in 2006 and the pair has rarely spoken to each other since, opting instead to wage a war of words in the media.

But sources tell Eonline.com blogger Marc Malkin that the Spellings have quietly been repairing their relationship behind closed doors - and they could be spending Christmas together.

Malkin reveals, “I’m told the two began talking again in September, when both were in the hospital. Tori was being treated for a stomach ailment, while Mama Spelling underwent back surgery.”

Things reportedly went so well that Candy has since met her 18-month-old granddaughter, Stella, for the first time and she has also spent time with grandson Liam, two, who she apparently hadn’t seen in over a year.

The frosty relationship between the two started heating up in April (09) after Candy posted a letter on her website expressing hope that she and her daughter could end their bitter estrangement and she could spend more time with her grandchildren.

But her hopes were dashed in July (09), when Tori refused to invite her mother to Stella’s first birthday party.
