LAHORE - Former cricketer and Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) chief, Imran Khan, has criticised PML-N leadership for playing a double game with the nation, and urged the opposition to give up its two-faced policies.

Launching a public contact campaign of his party from Gulshan Park, Imran came down hard on the PML-N leadership for playing gimmicks with the nation.

He said the PML-N was also following US dictates like the PPP and only aspiring for power.

Imran said Nawaz Sharif’s role as a leader of a friendly opposition wasn’t any different from that of Maulana Fazlur Rehman, as whenever any thing suited his interest, he supported the government.

He said corruption and unemployment were rising, but the rulers and the opposition were doing nothing in this regard, The News reports.

Imran said the so-called war against terrorism had destroyed peace in the country. It was also lamentable that drone attacks were continuing.

He said peace in the region couldn’t be ensured as long as the US was present. Imran said the current set up was nothing but a continuation of Musharraf’s polices.

He said that under the KLL, the US wanted to interfere in Pakistan’s affairs and maintain the ongoing tension in Pakistan at the cost of its own people. (ANI)
