Winans Banned From Oprah’s Show

Gospel star BEBE WINANS has been banned from appearing on OPRAH WINFREY’s talk show, pending his trial on domestic assault charges.
Winans’ ex-wife attacked Winfrey for inviting the singer on her show last week (30Nov09), while taking a public stand against R&B star Chris Brown over his assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna back in February (09).
Winans is facing misdemeanour assault charges, stemming from an alleged fight with his ex, Debra. He is accused of pushing her to the ground.
After Debra reached out to Winfrey, the media queen acted swiftly to block Winans from making any future appearances.
A spokesperson tells TMZ.com, “BeBe will not be appearing on the Oprah show until his legal matters are resolved in court.”
Winans is due back in court in January 2010.
