Borders, author hook up for ‘Mitch Albom Live’

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Mitch Albom interviews people for a living.

Sometimes it’s for a newspaper column. Other times it’s on his radio show or for an upcoming book.

Now, Albom will be conducting interviews for half-hour webisodes on Borders.com and MitchAlbom.com. They are free to viewers.

Each week, starting with Tuesday’s launch, Albom will have unscripted conversations with celebrities, authors, musicians and others.

Ann Arbor, Mich.-based Borders Group Inc. is producing and co-sponsoring the show, which is called “Mitch Albom Live.”

The first webisode features an interview with actress Drew Barrymore. Future installments include chats with singer Tony Bennett and director Kevin Smith.

Albom’s latest book, “Have a Little Faith,” was released last week.
