NEW YORK (GaeaTimes.com)- The Cuban American TV news anchor Rick Sanchez was fired from CNN yesterday after he made controversial comments on air. The “Rick’s List” host called “The Daily Show” host Jon Stewart a “bigot” and he also questioned the host of the radio program if the Jews should be called a minority. The CNN officials released a statement where it was stated that the news anchor will not be a part of the company anymore. Rick Sanchez has not made any public statement after that.

The CNN statement read that the officials of CNN thank Rick Sanchez for his years of service and wish him “well” in his life. A reputed media source reported that Rick Sanchez’s saying goodbye to the comp-any directly relates to his Thursday’s interview on Pete Dominick’s SiriusXM radio show. The CNN anchor spoke over a lot of issues in his tete-e-tete with the host and said that he has been discriminated by people owing to his Cuban American origin. The CNN International contributor told that a “guy” like him always belong to the second tier and not the first tier. However, as the interview proceeded after a while, Rick Sanchez said that he thinks that Jon Stewart and Stephan Colbert are the alike and the former is a “bigot”.

Rick Sanchez even said that everybody who runs CNN is like Jon Stewart and a lot of people who run other networks are also like him. When the host of the show Pete Dominick asked him if he meant to say that Jewish people belong to “oppressed” community, Rick Sanchez readily replied affirmative. The CNN officials have not yet issued any public apology addressing Rick Sanchez’s controversial statement.
