Douglas’s representative said that the ‘Wall Street’ star will participate in the event from New York. Right now the actor is unable to travel because he is undergoing treatment for cancer. Douglas revealed his cancer diagnosis early August when doctors found a tumor in his throat.
Michael Douglas is scheduled to undergo eight weeks of intensive chemotherapy and radiation treatments to cure the disease. On Tuesday, Douglas appeared on ‘The Late Show with David Letterman’, where he said that he is optimistic about his chances of recovery. According to the doctors, Douglas has 80% chances of making a full recovery, which might improve with time.
‘The Stand Up 2 Cancer’ telethon will help raise money for cancer research and it will surely help exterminate the deadly disease from the face of this planet.
