Axl Rose Attacked By Angry Audience

DUBLIN (GaeaTimes.com) — Axl Rose, the voice behind eternal Rock Anthems like November Rain and Sweet Child O’Mine was assaulted at a concert by the crowds. The front man of Guns N’ Roses is notorious for coming late on stage. But when he repeated the offense towards paying fans, he was taken for a ride. It is being reported that he was hit in the head during the charge.

As the band arrived almost 1 hour late into the stage the audience was already infuriated. It was not long before some one stared hurling bottles on the stage. Before starting their second song on the set he warned the fans, that he would walk off the stage if they persisted. But the crowd was already on its way to become an angry mob the bottles did not stop and the boos drowned the hall. Axl was under contractual obligation by the event handlers to play till 1 AM regardless of what happens. They carried on their performance in almost an empty arena. This is not going to mean that their tour along the coast of Europe. The promoters of concerts in that area MCD an O2 in a press conference acknowledged that the crowd reaction was a bit extreme.

Such an event in Axl Rose’s career is not a novelty. Fans would remember that 20 years ago he maid people at an European concert wait for almost 2 hours. That was Axl Rose was the lead of the G N R whose lead guitarist went by the name of Slash. People could have tolerated Axl then but now ? He is just another rock star living on past glory.
