Eric Stonestreet Nabs Emmy Award 2010

LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- It was a night for “Modern Family” and “Mad Men” at the Emmy’s, as they took home many of the coveted awards of the night. The newcomers and underdogs of American television bagged most of the Primetime Emmy Awards 2010 for delivering their best performances in their respective series. The award ceremony was hosted by “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” fame Jimmy Fallon. Among others Eric Stonestreet won the prestigious award for his outstanding performance as a supportive actor in a comedy series.
Eric Stonestreet plays the role of Cameron Tucker in ABC’s “Modern Family”. The actor received appreciation for his wonderful performance in the series before as well and last night he got his recognition through the award. This is the first Emmy Award received by Eric Stonestreet in his career as an actor. Dressed in a black suit the actor looked perfect for the gala evening. While receiving the award Eric Stonestreet jokingly said that all he wanted to be was a clown in the circus after he grows up in life. The actor talked about his show “Modern Family” and said that this win is a win for their show. The actor mentioned that it didn’t matter who won it but they are proud of their show and that matters the most.
Eric Stonestreet became emotional while receiving the award for the first time. The actor dedicated the award to his parents and told his mother that the award is going home with her. Modern family nabbed three awards last night which included the awards for Outstanding Comedy, Outstanding Writing For A Comedy which was received by Christopher Lloyd and Stephen Levitan.
