LONDON - A beauty salon owner accused of scamming A-list clients like Jennifer Aniston and Liv Tyler has been placed under house arrest after posting bail.

Maria Gabriela Perez was arrested for allegedly stealing her clients’ credit card information and making fake purchases in their name.

Perez, owner of the exclusive Beverly Hills Chez Gabriela Studio, is alleged to have tallied 186,670 pound in unauthorised charges to clients including Aniston, Tyler, Anne Hathaway and Melanie Griffith, among others.

Perez appeared in Los Angeles federal court where she was released on 33,330-pound bail, and has been placed her under house arrest.

Her passport has also been confiscated.

However, Perez’s attorney, Stephen Kahn, has said that his client is innocent.

“It’s easy to make accusations… From everything we know, she is innocent,” the Daily Star quoted Kahn as telling the New York Post. (ANI)
