KERALA, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- The Southern states of India are gearing up for the Onam Festival which will start tomorrow and various programs will be held in those states. The festival brings good news for veteran actor Kamal Hassan. He will be in Thiruvananthapuram tomorrow. It is going to be a special day for the talented actor since the Kerala state government will honor him for his completion of 50 years in Indian cinema. The fans of the actor are expecting that he may give a speech in chaste Malayalam as he is proficient in that language in the event.

The Kerala government is arranging an elaborate cultural festival on the eve of the yearly Onam celebrations. The highlight of the cultural festival is the grand reception of the veteran actor. VS Achuthanandan the CM of Kerala will facilitate the actor as per the plans. The actor began his movie career in southern film industry and later made his presence felt in Bollywood. Apart from action he also earned fame and critical acclaim for his dancing skills and also dabbled with production. The event will start with a stage show crafted by Shri. T.K. Rajeev Kumar, a noted Malayalam Film Director. The songs and other programs will be dedicated to Kamal Hassan as well.
