LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- Chez Gabriela Studio owner Maria Gabriella Perez, who made the stars glow is accused of swindling Jennifer Aniston, Liv Tyler, Anne Hathaway, Melanie Griffith and Cher and many other high profile celebrities in a credit-card scheme. Maria Gabriella Perez was reportedly arrested last Wednesday and the media reports that, if convicted of two counts of fraud she could face up to 25 years in federal prison. A reputed media source reported that her scam was discovered when Liv Tyler’s management company found out that $214,000 false charges was allegedly made by the salon to the actress’s two credit cards between June and November 2009.

The court documents reveal that Chez Gabrila Studio owner Maria Gabriella Perez also has ripped off high-end jewelery designer Loree Rodkin and made the celebrity poorer by thousands of dollars. However, the studio owner has denied all the charges against her and Maria Gabriella Perez’s attorney Jerod Gunsberg said that his client is “innocent” and once all the facts come out his client will be freed from all the charges.

Jennifer Aniston, one of the victims of Chez Gabriela Studio owner’s scam has recently criticized the owner in one of the television shows and the actress said that she knew Maria Gabriella Perez will not be able to fool the law for a long time. Assistant U.S. Attorney Wesley Hu said that after the clients had legitimate services performed at the salon where they ran credit cards, Maria Gabriella Perez kept the credit card information and then she used to run unauthorized charges on the credit cards. The police arrested the owner from her spa in front of her clients and Maria Gabriella Perez faces the charges of stealing and pick pocketing as well.
