Iron Maiden guitarist to guest on MTV2’s Headbangers Ball

August 19, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): The 23rd August Monday night edition of MTV2’s "Headbangers Ball" will feature none other than the legendary IRON MAIDEN’s music videos. The show airs at 3 AM in the morning, will also include limited interview clips with IRON MAIDEN’s Janick Gers, DREAM THEATER’s Mike Portnoy and John Ostronomy from the show "Talking Metal".
The iconic IRON MAIDEN guitarist Janick would also share some grand memories of filming popular videos of “The Wicker Man" and would also discuss about the new IRON MAIDEN album, entitled "The Final Frontier".
As per the Music Week, the band is on track to have a No. 1 album in Britain this Sunday, with the band’s newest effort, "The Final Frontier" as released by EMI. The album has been selling more than three times as many as its closest competitor, EMINEM’s "Recovery" (released by Interscope), this week.
"The Final Frontier", is the band’s 15th full length studio album. It has sold more than 22,000 copies, while "Recovery" has sold around only a measly 7,000 this week in U.K. This info has been achieved from the Official Charts Company midweek figures.
"The Final Frontier" was released in North America on the 17th of August through Universal Music Enterprises. The newest effort from the band was made available in an exclusive limited-edition collectors’ "Mission Edition" CD case. It also featured access to additional bonus content, together with the director’s cut of a video for the edited adaptation of the opening song on the album, called "Satellite 15… The Final Frontier".
