Clint Eastwood’s film ‘Hereafter’ to call the curtains at NYFF

August 17, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Hollywood movie legend, Clint Eastwood’s new film "Hereafter," starring Matt Damon, Cecile de France, Jay Mohr and Bryce Dallas Howard, has been chosen to serve at the closing night film at the famous New York Film Festival. The festival is celebrating its 48th year. The festival runs from 24th September to the 10th of October.
It is a supernatural thriller and story of three people who are haunted by their mortality. This movie is released by Warner Brothers on the 22nd of October.
"Hereafter" happens to be Eastwood’s fourth film that has got its place at this prestigious fest. His previous films "Bird," "Mystic River" and "The Changeling" were also played at this fest.
Richard Pena who happens to be the selection committee chairman as well as the program Director of the Film Society of Lincoln Center said that Clint Eastwood has made the most provocative film in all of US. Clint Easstwood’s comeback appearance at the New York Film Festival has been awesome to say the least. The director has already showcased a film on the opening day along with a centerpiece film and this time with ‘Hereafter, he creates a hat-trick.
"Hereafter" is one of the three high-profile releases of this fall.
