San Sebastian to Honor Julia Roberts

August 16, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Julia Roberts, who was once the highest paid Hollywood actress, is going to be awarded for her illustrious movie career at the San Sebastian film festival. The festival is to be held next month in northern Spain. The actress, known for her roles in many a Hollywood blockbuster, will attend the film festival to not only receive the award but also promote Eat Pray Love, her latest movie. Directed by Ryan Murphy, the movie stars Javier Bardem opposite Julia.
Eat Pray Love is a cinematic adaptation of a novel of the same name, written by Elizabeth Gilbert. In it, Julia plays a divorcee who trots around the globe from Italy to India to Bali reinventing her inner self and rediscovering her inner peace at each stage of her journey.
The 42-year-old actress shot to fame with a role in Pretty Woman that was released in 1990. She bagged an Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in Erin Brockovich in the year of 2001. For the last few years, she had been away from the acting field because of her marriage and pregnancy.
Roberts will turn up to receive the prestigious award for her impressive film career on the 20th of September. Sir Ian McKellen, Bette Davis, Francis Ford Coppola, Glenn Ford and Woody Allen are among the previous winners of the award at the San Sebastian International Film Festival.
