Julia Roberts: No More Comedies?

LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- Julia Roberts is one of the most versatile actresses Hollywood has ever seen but the gorgeous lady was absent from the silver screen for quite some time. Except for a voiceover in an animated flick sometimes back and a role in the multi starrer ‘Valentine’s Day’ the fans did not see her doing any film. However, her recent flick named ‘Eat Pray Love’ is set to get released in this month and it has generated a positive buzz in the industry. The promos of the film show that even at 42 she is as gorgeous as ever. However, the pretty woman feels that she is no longer fit to act in romantic comedies. She said in a recent interview that after 40 she is looking for matured roles that suit her age.

Julia Roberts also said that she had been offered a few scripts that fall in that genre but she turned them down. The star is clearly more focused on her family life now. She has three kids and they take up a lot of her time. The actress said that she has no regret for dong less work at this phase of her career. She pointed out the fact that before her marriage she worked in a number of substantial movies for more than a decade that has satisfied the artist in her. She is not opposed to acting as such but owing to her family it has taken a backseat.

Julia Roberts also thinks that as an actress she needs to explore the hitherto untapped genres of movies. She excelled at romantic comedy in the early part of her career and flicks like Pretty Woman as well as Notting Hill made her favorite with the viewers.
