MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Ace Bollywood director Nagesh Kukunoor who gave us critically acclaimed movies like ‘Dor’ and thought provoking ‘Iqbal’ is going through a lean phase as it seems. The director who was not a part of the commercial filmmakers brigade tried to go mainstream with ‘Bombay To Bangkok’, which frankly speaking was a disaster. His next attempt to experiment with supernatural in “Tasveer” also did not work. To make it worse his much touted directorial venture ‘Aashayein’ got delayed for more than two years. The movie has John Abraham along with a number of veteran Bollywood actors. The film is going to be released this year according to the latest industry buzz. In fact a source has reported that the film will be released in the last week of August.
Nagesh Kukunoor was disappointed that his film got delayed by two years but now he is hopeful about its prospects. It is a Percept Picture Company production. Of course he had to work on the film that had been lying for two years to give it a fresh new look. For actor John Abraham this is an important movie. He was last seen on the silver screen in the New York where his performance brought him accolades.
In this movie of director Nagesh Kukunoor John Abraham essays the role of a compulsive gambler. The director has hopes on the acting skills of the actor who is loved by the viewers mainly for his Greek God physique. It is difficult to predict how it will be taken by the viewers considering Indian movie viewers are very unpredictable.
