Angelina Jolie Talks On North Koreans

Seoul (GaeaTimes.com)- Ace Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie is in news again. She is now touring in various countries to promote her latest movie Salt which is getting rave reviews from the critics. She was recently in South Korea for the promotional movie tour and the actress managed to squeeze some time to talk about the lives of repatriated North Korean refugees. Since the actress is the UN High Commissioner for Refugees goodwill ambassador she met the regional UNHCR representatives to share her views on the topic.

The actress said that she is deeply concerned about the fate of such people who are sent back to North Korea. However Angelina Jolie said that she was rather impressed to see the treatment and care the North Korean refugees get when they reach South Korea. She pointed out that the media entities spend a lot of time in portraying the political turmoil between the two neighboring countries but they hardly write about the support North Koran refugees get in the neighboring nation. Several thousand poor refugees from North Korea have been staying in China for some time as it has been reported.

Angelina Jolie said that she has come to know how several thousand residents of North Korea have migrated to South Korea over the years. Beijing acts sternly with those if they catch the people migrating. The actress also admitted that she and her kids appreciate Rain a Korean pop singer. The singer worked in the acclaimed movie Ninja assassin. Te actress reached South Korea from Japan on Tuesday with 4 of her kids.
