At the age of 18, Sunidhi eloped with Bobby Khan and they got secretly married. But things did not work out and on the next year Sunidhi filed a divorce with Bobby Khan.

After divorce Sunidhi Chauhan returned to her parents. Her parents were previously unhappy with the marriage and disowned the young singer.
