Soundgarden Plan To Play A Pre-Lollapalooza Gig

July 28, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Iconic band Soundgarden will soon be warming up for its August 8 gig, where they headline the popular Lollapalooza Festival in Chicago’s Grant Park. The band plan to play a pre-Lollapalooza on the August 5 at the Vic Theatre that has a capacity of 1,400.

Soundgarden was one of the most successful and popular bands of its era. They broke up in the year 1997. Chris Cornell, the frontman of the band declared that the band would reunite on the first January of this year. The band did reunite and they played their first gig on April 16 at their hometown Showbox at the Market.
Soundgarden, comprising of guitarist Kim Thayil, bassist Ben Shepherd, and drummer Matt Cameron, along with Cornell have been jamming and rehearsing all through the spring and summer right before Lollapalooza.
