LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- MTV has filled up the time slot of ‘The Hills’ with another reality series that is aimed at high school students. The show called ‘If You Really Knew Me’ focuses on the challenges faced by the teenagers in their day to day lives and also stop them from interacting among themselves.

MTV has produced the show in coordination with the Challenge Day program. The show will focus on a new school every episode and try to understand and break down the barriers that prevent students from being themselves in school. The show is aimed to dissolve the barriers created within the school due to race, class difference, sex and education. ‘If You Really Knew Me‘ also focuses on the cliques, their functioning and their disadvantages. Students were shown to come out of their closets and share their feelings and emotions not just in front of their friends and teachers but also in front of the entire TV audience across the nation.

The first episode of ‘If You Really Knew Me‘ highlighted the problems faced by the students of Freedom High School in California. Students were seen opening up emotionally about the challenges that they faced due to the social, sexual and racial stigmas. The Challenge Day program aims to eliminate all these barriers by giving students a chance to show their real self to the rest of their school community and the world. The next episode will focus on the students of Anthony Wayne High School from Ohio and try to address the various issues faced by the kids.
