Peepli Live Promo Unveiled by Aamir Khan at Sun Dance

MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com) — When we talk about ‘Mr. perfectionist’ Aamir Khan, it would surely be something new or different we are hinting. He is the man with sheer charisma, who get 47,019 followers in only two hours on Twitter. Anything he does, become a headline. The man behind the blockbuster hits of Lagaan, Ghajini, Tare Zameen Par is now promoting ‘Peepli Live’, a movie that’s being produced by the bollywood ‘chocolate boy’ himself along with wife Kiran Rao.

Peepli Live is the first Indian movie to get chance for competing in the prestigious American Sun Dance Film Festival. The movie talks about the pathetic life of poor farmers in India. The story of the movie is written by Anusha Rizvi and it stars seasoned actors, never seen before on screen.

The movie describes the pathos of farmers’ life in a rather sarcastic way. Peepli is a village in rural India. Two farmers Natha and Budhia are representatives of farmers in distress. They are to lose their land over an unpaid debt. Helpless, they seek help from a local politician, who show them a way to save their family by sacrificing their own lives. They are advised to commit suicide in order to benefit their family getting a government aids, which is meant for indebted deceased farmer family. In due course a media person have his concern into the matter.

Peepli Live has already created a buzz in the web since a journalist has ignited a flam of controversy. The journalist says, “Aamir paagal hogaya hai, kuch bhi banaata hai. Roz roz Lagaan toh nahin banti”. It was a poke fun at Aamir, who takes it positively and gave a tit for tat. In the promo of Peepil Live Aamir told “I thought we are making fun of people and situations in the film, why not start with making fun of myself?”
