Tony awards to be hosted by Sean Hayes

May 25, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Actor and comedian, Sean Hayes will be hosting The 64th Annual Tony Awards. The annual award ceremony that honors achievements on Broadway will be broadcast live on CBS from Radio City Music Hall in New York, on Sunday June 13.
Hayes, who currently stars in Broadway in Promises, Promises, alongside Kristin Chenoweth has been nominated for the role, and has also bagged nominations from the Drama League and the Outer Critics Circle.
The 2009 Award ceremony, which was hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, received the show’s best ratings in three years. The 2010 presenting team is all geared up to outdo the previous year ceremony.
Hayes gained recognition for his role as Jack McFarland in the NBC sitcom Will & Grace. He won several awards including an Emmy Award, four SAG Awards, one American Comedy Award, and six Golden Globes nominations for his performance.
He also played comedian Jerry Lewis in the made for TV movie Martin and Lewis.
Hayes also appeared in a major role as Matthew, also called Thomas, in Rob Reiner’s 2007 film The Bucket List, starring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman.
