Rocker BRET MICHAELS is back in hospital after suffering a mini-stroke, and doctors have discovered he has a hole in his heart.

The unlucky Poison frontman has been making comeback plans after suffering a brain haemorrhage last month (Apr10) - and now he has been hit by another health battle after experiencing numbness on the left side of his body.

In a post on Michaels’ website, his physician, Dr. Joseph Zabramski, writes, “There is no doubt that (this) is devastating news to Bret and his family. The good news is that it is operable and treatable and we think we may have diagnosed the problem that caused the Transient Ischemic Attack (stroke).

“Without a doubt he is very determined to get healthy and make a 100 per cent recovery. Medically speaking it is a fantastic attitude both mentally and physically for him to have. However, Bret’s brain and body are not quite 100 per cent yet, especially with the hole found in his heart.”

However, Michaels’ representative has reassured fans that the star appears to be responding well to treatment.

Jann Elias says, “(He is) in good spirits, great medical hands and is positive and hopeful that everything is going to be okay.

“He is up, walking, talking, continuing his daily rehab and very happy to be alive, but he has made it clear he is sick and tired of being in the hospital and is ready to rock again.”

The stroke is not believed to be related to his near-fatal brain haemorrhage.

It is not known if his latest medical crisis will effect his appearance on the upcoming finale of U.S. reality TV show The Apprentice or concerts planned at the end of the month (May10).
