May 15, 2010 (Sampurn Wire):Director Roman Polanski who is already under house arrest in Switzerland over the charges of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in 1977 has been accused of another case of sexual abuse by British actress Charlotte Lewis.
In a press conference at her attorney Gloria Allred’s Los Angeles office, Lewis told reporters that Polanski sexually abused her in the worst way possible in 1982 when she was just 16, in his Paris apartment. Lewis added that the incident happened four years after Polanski fled U.S. to avoid prison term for the sexual assault of Samantha Geimer.
Lewis who acted in Polanski’s 1986 film Pirate said that he took advantage of her and she had to live with the consequences of his behavior ever since.
She was a child star in Britain on the TV show Grange Hill and has acted in many other films besides posing nude for Playboy in 1993.
Polanski’s lawyers said that they don’t have any information regarding Gloria Allred press conference but they know that the District Attorney continues to refuse to provide the Swiss government with accurate information relevant to the extradition issue.
If the latest allegations turn out to be true then the Academy Award winner director will be facing tough times ahead. It will influence his sentencing and no considerations will be made about his old age.
