The much loved pop star decided to adorn a black T-shirt for her appearance in the charity event with the words ‘HIV Positive’ written on it that was successful in grabbing many eyeballs.

Although the 55 year old singer was scheduled to make a live appearance in the special edition of Wednesday night’s episode of “American Idol”, she failed to do so as she could not travel all the way to Los Angeles from England in the wake of the air travel crisis owing to the Icelandic volcano. However, the Annie Lennox indeed managed to make an appearance in which she attempted to spread the message of HIV awareness, treatment and prevention. That explains her decision to wear the T-shirt and sport the words ‘HIV Positive‘ which was indeed successful in attracting the attention of the people in this regard. The renowned singer’s appearance in the event was surely one of the high points of the show as it highlighted the plight of a young girl who had been suffering from pneumonia and AIDS.

Meanwhile, Annie Lennox’s ‘HIV Positive’ T-shirt had resulted in some sort of a panic among her fans who were initially concerned whether the singer was suffering from the deadly disease. To their utter relief, the ‘HIV Positive‘ turned out to be only an attempt to raise awareness about the issue.
