ACM Awards 2010 Nominations

Las Vegas (GaeaTimes.com) - The ACM Awards 2010 or the Academy of Country Music Awards ceremony will be held tonight at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. It will be aired live on CBS at 8pm EST. Popular country stars like Tim McGraw, Taylor Swift, Lady Antebellum and Rascal Flats will perform in the ceremony. Reba McEntire will be the host of the show.
Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith, Brad Paisley, George Strait, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban and Zac Brown Band are nominated for the prestigious Entertainer of the year award. Among them Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker, George Strait and Keith Urban are nominated for the Top Male Vocalist of the year. Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and Lee Ann Womack are nominated for the Top Female Vocalist of the year.
Lady Antebellum is up for most ACM nominations counting to seven including nominations for Top Vocal Group of the year. Little Big Town, Randy Rogers Band, Rascal Flatts, Zac Brown Band are the other nominations in the Top Vocal Group of the year. Lady Antebellum is a trio, two of whom are alums of the University of Georgia. They have done very well in crossover platforms but their root lies in the country music.
