MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Everybody has heard about the saying that women are from Venus and director Milap Javery has presented a girl from Venus as the heroine of his new film named ‘Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai’. This breezy romantic comedy starring Ritesh Deshmukh and model turned actress Jacqueline Fernandes has a nice theme for sure but the director has not been able to implement it in the suitable manner. It also stars Ruslaan Mumtaz. The film is also a spoof on Bollywood and it shows Farah Khan as a film director. Apart from her Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar and Priyanka Chopra also play cameos in this film.
The actors deliver decent performances and Ritesh Deshmukh looks credible in his role. However, making the kid faced Ruslaan Mumtaz an established superstar in the movie looks a bit odd. He is a stud no doubt but looks way too young to play the role. The film takes dig at several popular film trends used in typical commercial potboilers and they look interesting. However, there is nothing new in that. There is liberal dose of comedy in the movie and some scenes in it are truly enjoyable. However, ‘Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai’ hardly makes you feel out of the world. The alien girl concept fails to tickle with the viewers.
After some time ‘Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai’ becomes quite predictable and the script loses its way. The dialogues in the movie are too mushy to keep viewers engrossed. It may suit the love birds all right but people who want to watch a comedy that has something new in it, can give it a miss.
